Graduated in Biology at the University of Molise, Cristiana is currently in the third year of her PhD program in Food Sciences at University of Parma. She is involved in a project entitled “Metabolic phenotypes related to dietary (poly)phenols and their impact on cardiometabolic health” within the framework of the PREDICT-CARE project funded by European Research Council (ERC) and tutored by Dr. Mena.
Between 2019 and 2021 she worked at the Department of Epidemiology and Prevention at IRCCS Neuromed, Pozzilli, and got involved in the MOLI-SANI Study project, a large prospective cohort study established in 2005-2010 and including 25,000 individuals residing in Molise, as a research fellow. In these years Cristiana approached nutrition as a field of study and research, aiming at investigating the different relationships between nutrition and health status, since, as Feuerbach quoted, "We are what we eat".
