Cristiana is currently a research fellow at the Human Nutrition Unit at the University of Parma, where she finalised her PhD entitled "Aggregated metabolic phenotypes related to the bioavailability of dietary (poly)phenols and their association with cardiometabolic health". The study is part of the PREDICT-CARE project funded by European Research Council (ERC) and tutored by Dr. Mena.
In the last year of her doctorate, she spent six months at the IMDEA Food Institute, under the supervision of Prof. Alfredo Martínez and Dr. Victor de la O Pascual, where she has developed statistical expertise with the aim of using new analytical approaches to assess the bioavailability of dietary phenolic compounds and their effects on health, to be applied in the different projects of the group.
