Dr. Viale, holding a degree in Food Biotechnology, earned her Ph.D. in Plant Production Sciences from the University of Padua.
Prior to joining the Human Nutrition Unit at the Department of Food and Drug Sciences of the University of Parma as a technologist, she had the opportunity to gain professional experience through diverse research groups, both in academic and industrial settings, which allowed her to enhance her professional and personal skills.
Her current research activities involve the application of metabolomic approaches to study bioactive compounds in foods, with a specific focus on (poly)phenolic compounds.
