Carmen Carrieri

 

 

Carmen Carrieri, 26, got her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and her Master’s degree in Human Nutrition Science. She was a research fellow for the project “AcorN: a forgotten resource to be rediscovered and valorised in the production of good and healthy foods NOVELTY” at University of Parma. 

She is currently in her first year of a PhD, supervised by Dr Pedro Mena, as part of the MENTORING project. Her research focuses on characterising circulating bioactive compounds and gut microbiota-host interactions in lung cancer patients using LC-MS metabolomics.
