Mirko Treccani

 

 

Mirko graduated in Bioinformatics and in Molecular and Medical Biotechnology at the University of Verona. He then joined the GM Lab at the University of Verona where he pursued a PhD in Applied Life and Health Sciences. During his studies, Mirko developed several expertise in the field of human genetics and genomics.

His research activities focus on rare and complex diseases and human traits in either families or large cohorts. His research comprises the application of genome-wide association studies (GWAS), genotype imputation and polygenic risk scores (PGS), which have been refined through international collaborations with the University of Cambridge, the Erasmus Medical Center Rotterdam and the Harvard Medical School.
